Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Lifestyle changes and/or mouthpieces may suffice to relieve mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Sufferers with moderate to severe sleep apnea may require breathing devices or surgery to widen breathing passages.

The CPAP machine delivers pressurized air through tubing to a nasal mask which is fitted around the head to keep the patient’s airway open during sleep, is the most common treatment for sleep apnea and highly effective when used regularly.


Lifestyle changes can often help relieve short-term Insomnia by making it easier to fall and remain asleep. A type of counseling called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can help relieve the anxiety linked to chronic Insomnia. Your doctor may also prescribe one of several medicines that can help to relieve Insomnia and re-establish a regular sleep schedule.    


Although Narcolepsy cannot yet be cured, many of its symptoms may be relieved through lifestyle changes, medicines and other therapies.
